Where the ad data comes from
Exclusively from the official Meta Ad Library, the transparency dataset Meta publishes under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). CreativeScout reads that official data through Meta's documented interface. We never scrape the Ad Library website, and we never touch profiles, private accounts or any non-public data.
What we store about ads
Facts and links only: the Library ID, ad texts, the landing page URL and its domain, the page name and public page ID, run dates, active status, EU reach, platforms, languages and derived metrics like runtime and the Winner Score inputs. We never download, store or embed images or videos from Meta. To view an ad's creative, every card links out to the ad's official public page in the Meta Ad Library.
What the browser extension captures
Only the facts of the one ad you click Save on: Library ID, ad text, landing page URL, page name, the advertiser's public page ID, start date and active status. No background collection, no browsing history, no other tabs, no media files. The data goes only to your own workspace, and uninstalling the extension stops all capture immediately. Details: browser extension guide.
Your account data
Your account holds your email, optional profile details, workspace membership and billing status. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store full payment credentials. The formal version of all of this, including your GDPR rights, lives in the Privacy Policy.
Deleting data
Removing a saved ad deletes your workspace's snapshot of it. For account deletion, email [email protected] and we take care of it.
